Going Down Swinging 3:050:00/3:05
I always wanted to be a musician/entertainer. I used to make my own shoe box guitars based on an art project from Highlights Magazine. I'd hold concerts in my room for my parents and I would sing songs off the Convoy soundtrack. My stage was a little stool my Dad made me so I could reach the bathroom sink.
My parents also had a K-tel compilation and it had Bo Diddley's "Bo Diddley" and Duane Eddy's "Raunchy". I was drawn to the simplicity and the rawness. I've always been interested in maintaining the low-fi sound of Rock and Roll.
Always drawn to: the destruction - the naughtiness - the primitivity - the screams - the feedback and distortion.
Best thing my paresnts ever did was get rid of the TV when my brother and I were young. So naturally, I turned to music, and I had to hear all of it.
Except for the Beatles.
